Inter-Schools Athletics and Valentines Week

Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s)

INTER-SCHOOLS ATHLETICS:
The Inter-Schools event on Saturday was a wonderful day. There were some fine performances by many of our athletes and the event was held in good spirit. The Camps Bay Parents (CBP’s) contributed to the atmosphere by running a busy tuckshop as well as braaing and selling boerewors rolls on the day. Thank you to all the parents who assisted with the tuckshop and the braaing. It was the first time that Camps Bay Primary has hosted the Inter-Schools Athletics and the event was a great success. There were some minor teething problems that we will rectify for next year. However, all participating schools have congratulated us and thanked us for a successful and special day. Thank you to Mrs Hamber and Mrs Weldon who were the chief organisers of this big event as well as to all the teachers and parents who gave up their Saturday morning to officiate at the event. Individual results are listed in the newsletter below but the final result was as follows:

1st Jan van Riebeeck
2nd Camps Bay Primary
3rd Tamboerskloof Primary
4th Reddam
5th Sea Point

Well done to all our athletes – we are very proud of you! Well done to all the spectators and supporters – I have had such positive feedback on the good behaviour of our pupils at the event. Thank you also to the wonderful House Captains/Cheerleaders who created such enthusiastic spirit at the event. Camps Bay Primary definitely showed that we have the best spirit!

If the problem is still not resolved or if it is a serious issue you are welcome to speak to me directly. Please do not direct complaints to other parents as it does not resolve the problem.
