TRAFFIC PROBLEMS: We appeal to parents collecting their children from Aftercare at the back of the school to please refrain from stopping in the middle of the road and hooting when collecting your children. Please pull off the road into a parking space and buzz at the gate to collect your child. Please respect our neighbours and their right to live in a quiet neighbourhood, please also refrain from using their driveways to turn around. Thank you for your co-operation.

CAMPS BAY NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: The Camps Bay Neighbourhood Watch has been working hard at fighting crime in our community. To those of you who are remaining at home during the festive season, here are some tips from the Chairman of the Camps Bay Neighbourhood Watch:
Close all windows and doors (lock) while at home (especially in the early evening).
Be aware of anyone in the area (stranger) who is acting suspiciously.
At night, set all alarms in the house.
As an early warning consider installing perimeter alarms.
Report anything to the police or local neighbourhood watch immediately.
6. Useful numbers to have on hand and set as speed dial on your cell phone are the numbers of SAPS in your area as well as your security company’s number.

The Camps Bay Watch is represented by the residents of Camps Bay who have chosen to play a role in reducing crime in our neighbourhood. They work closely with SAPS and also have a number of their own crime fighting initiative on the go, at any one time. The front end of the organisation are the patrollers who drive around the neighbourhood acting as additional eyes and ears for the SAPS at all hours of the day and night. There is an ongoing drive to ensure that patrollers have sufficient kit and equipment to keep them safe and to ensure that they can conduct their task properly. Funds are purely donations from residents and we appeal to you to assist us in this regard. No donation is too small and all money received will be put to good practical use. Our banking details are as follows:
Account Name: Camps Bay Community Police Forum ABSA Sea Point
Savings Account Number: 918 021 5097
Reference: CBW (your name/and sector, if appropriate) You can just state the street that you live in if you do not know your sector. Please email Sally Merrington with deposit details at sally.merrington@campsbaywatch.org so that your deposit can be tracked and the necessary admin completed. Thank you for your support.

In closing, we would like to wish those families that are celebrating, a very happy and blessed Christmas and Channukah and a peaceful and restful holiday to all. May you all enjoy good health and remain safe, enjoying quality time with your loved ones.

Yours in education
